NTFS stands for New Technology File System. It is a file system, which was introduced by Microsoft in 1993 with Windows NT 3.1. New Technology File System is the file system which is primarily used in Microsoft’s Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems. It is having many advantages over FAT (File Allocation Table) file system used in earlier Windows series such as it supports large partitions and powerful storage solution such as RAID, ability to encrypt files and folders to protect your data, supports file-level security, compression, and auditing and many more advanced features. NTFS partition is divided into two parts: The first 12% of the partition are assigned to MFT (Meta File Table) area, where metafiles grows and data recording is not possible. The rest 88% of the disks represent space for files storage. If you have deleted your NTFS files and unable to recover it back, then you can perform NTFS file recovery by using third party utility software. One among the best that is available in market is Remo Recover (Windows), which is very effective file recovery tool to recover deleted files from Windows.
You may lose the NTFS files because of many reasons like if you have unintentionally deleted the NTFS file and empted the Recycle Bin or deleted NTFS file using Shift+Del key combination then you will lose it. Recycle Bin has a size limit, differing in different operating system, if the deleted NTFS file crosses the limits then it bypasses the Recycle Bin, in this Scenario you will end up with data loss. The NTFS file system partition is also having different limits. The limits are based on the number of drive clusters .Eg: Under Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 Setup, the NTFS partition can range from 7MB to 2 TB. Therefore, if the NTFS files are saved beyond the file system size limits then you might lose these file. If the NTFS file system, may get corrupt because of viruses or malware the NTFS files from the NTFS partition or hard drive becomes inaccessible. You can also lose NTFS files if NTFS partition gets formatted or reformatted, while partitioning the hard drive for new partition, while partition resizing, master boot record corruption, software malfunction, power surge, improper shutdown, when read/ write head cannot read or write data into bad sectors, while installing or reinstalling operating system etc. Whatever be the reason, if you think that you cannot recover your NTFS files then you are wrong, “Remo Recover (Windows) Pro Edition” is the best solution.
