Generally, when you connect new hard drive to your computer, it is automatically detected and listed in the Disk Utility as a basic disk. After that you need to divide the hard drive storage area into logical storage areas and then format those areas before using to store new files on your Mac hard drive. Disk utility offers the capability to create, format and delete the volumes on basic disks. Dynamic storage disk allows you to create three different types of volumes like Simple volume, Spanned volume and Striped volume. You can able to create 100 volumes per dynamic disk. You can also extend simple volumes using third party disk utilities. When you extend a volume, only more storage area is added to simple volume from free space, which exists on the same hard drive. In Mac Operating system, first volume is named as /dev/sda 1 then the second volume is named as /dev/sda 2 and so on. The files are stored on these volumes are managed by file system. Mac OS supports HFS, HFS+ and HFSX file system. Sometimes, the data may be lost due to Operating system crash, improper system shut-down, power failures etc. In such instance, you can recover Mac data from Mac volumes. There are many Mac disk recovery software applications available; you can use one of the effective recovery tools to recover your lost data.
Generally, when Operating system crash occurs or when your system is not shutdown properly then parameter random access memory (PRAM) of your Mac OS get corrupt resulting in incorrect information about your system, which may in turn results in loss of files. PRAM is addressable area of RAM, which is able to store identity of your Mac OS. This PRAM stores information regarding how much memory exists, security, how your system boots. You doesn’t have unlimited privileges to change this information. PRAM also stores the settings, which you have created when your system is running. Therefore, when this PRAM get corrupted, the information stored on this memory get corrupted, which may not allow you to access the files stored on volumes resulting in loss of files. Sometimes, you may accidentally delete the files using Command + Delete keys resulting in loss of important data.
While deleting any files, make sure that the data you are deleting is not needed then delete it. Even if you accidentally delete data, then no need to worry because you can easily recover it using Mac disk recovery software. Usually, when you delete a file, it is not permanently deleted from your Mac computer, only allocation information which is stored in the file system gets deleted making the data inaccessible. File system marks that space as available to store new data. The data you have deleted still exists on hard drive until you save or copy new data over volumes from where you have deleted. Therefore, stop using affected volume and use effective Mac disk recovery software to recover missing data.
Remo Recover (Mac) Pro Edition helps you to recover lost or deleted data from hard drives and missing volumes. This software supports FAT16, FAT32, HFS+ and HFSX formatted volumes. If you have accidentally emptied your Trash then also you can recover deleted files from hard drive. This software is also able to recover lost or deleted volumes of your Mac hard drive.
